Poland, Auburn, etc. From Route 26 bridge in

Oxford to confluence with Androscoggin River:

open to fishing from April 1 - October 31, S-19.

from April 1 – December 31; all trout, landlocked

salmon, and togue caught from October 1 – December

31 must be released alive at once. These

Aroostook County

Black Pond, Little (South), T15 R9 WELS.

Tributaries and outlet: S-18.

 

Black River, Big, T14 R14, T14 R15, etc. S-13.

From October 1 - October 31: S-6, S-13. Open

to the taking of bass and muskellunge only.

 

Daaquam River, T11 R17 WELS. S-13. October

1 - October 31: S-6, S-13. Open to the taking of

bass and muskellunge only.

 

Moccasin Pond and tributaries and outlet, T14

R8 WELS. From April 1–October 31: S-5, S-27.

 

Saint John River, T11 R16, T11 R17, T12 R15,

T12 R16, T13 R14, T13 R15, T14 R13, T14

R14, T15 R13, T16 R12 WELS, Allagash St.

Francis (upstream of the confluence with the St.

Francis River). S-13. From October 1 - October

31: S-6, S-13. Open to the taking of bass and

muskellunge only. This regulation applies on the

Northwest Branch T11 R17, T12 R17 WELS.

 

Cumberland County

County-Wide Specials:

Lakes and ponds are open to open water fishing

from April 1 – December 31; all trout, landlocked

salmon, and togue caught from October 1 – December

31 must be released alive at once. These

waters may have additional special regulations

which have been retained, check individual listings

for special regulations.

 

Crooked River, Albany to Casco, etc. (Cumberland

and Oxford Counties): S-1.

=From Route35 (North Waterford), to Route 11

(Casco): April 1 - September 30: S-5; S-22;

minimum length limit on landlocked salmon: 26

inches.

=From Bolster’s Mill Road bridge downstream

to Route 11 in Casco: October 1 - October

15, S-5; S-22; minimum length limit on

salmon: 26 inches. All other fish caught must

be released alive at once.

 

Sebago Lake, and all tributaries including

rivers. (Except for the area below in (f), season

closes September 30.)

a) S-28. Daily limit on togue: 6 fish; minimum

length limit: 14 inches; only 1 may exceed 23

inches.

b) S-22. Minimum length limit on landlocked

salmon: 16 inches.

c) Lake and rivers: S-1, S-3.

d) No fishing within 100 feet of White’s Bridge.

e) Crooked River: See Crooked River listed

above.

f) From October 1 – November 30, the area located

between and including the Standish boat

launch ramp and the Portland Water District

pump station pier is open to fly fishing only, with

barbless hooks, from shore and pier only; all

fish caught must be released alive at once.

 

Franklin County

Carrabassett River.

=From its source in Carrabassett Valley downstream

to Rt. 146 crossing: S-5, S-19. From

October 1 - October 31, S-5, S-21.

=From Rt. 146 crossing to its confluence with the

Kennebec River in North Anson: S-19. From

October 1 - October 31: S-6, S-21.

=From its confluence with the West Branch of the

Carrabassett to Rt. 146 crossing: Children 16

years of age and under may fish under S-4.

 

Jim Pond, Little, Jim Pond Twp. T1 R5. S-5,

S-18. Open to fishing in October: S-5, S-27.

 

Kennebago Lake, Big, Davis Twp. Open to

fishing from April 1 - October 31. S-5. Daily limit

on trout: 5 fish; minimum length limit on trout:

6 inches, only 1 trout may exceed 12 inches.

Tributaries closed except Kennebago River. (See

separate listing.)

 

McIntire Pond, New Sharon. S-5, S-18. Open to

fishing in October: S-5, S-27.

 

Rangeley River, Rangeley. S-1. That portion of

Rangeley Lake and Rangeley River from two

red posts set about 300 feet above the fish

screen downstream to the confluence of the

Rangeley and Kennebago Rivers: S-5; daily

limit: 1 fish. From downstream side of dam on

outlet of Rangeley Lake to the confluence of the

Rangeley and Kennebago River: Open to fishing

in October: S-5, S-27.

 

Sandy River, Madrid, Philips, Strong, etc.

S-13, S-19. Maximum length limit on landlocked

salmon and brown trout: 25 inches.

=From its origin at the outlet of the Sandy River

Ponds to the upper (Route 142) bridge in

Phillips: S-6.

=From the upper (Route 142) bridge in Phillips,

downstream to its confluence with the

Kennebec River, Starks and Norridgewock:

Open to fishing in October: S-6, S-21.

 

Tea Pond, Little, Jim Pond Twp. S-5, S-8. Open to

fishing in October: S-5, S-27.

 

Hancock County

Long Pond, T10 SD. Open to open water fishing

from April 1 - October 31: S-6, S-13. All trout

caught must be released alive at once.

 

Kennebec County

County-Wide Specials:

Fort Halifax Dam in Winslow: S-19. From August

=From the Fort Halifax Dam in Winslow, to the

confluence with the Kennebec River: Open to

open water fishing from January 1 – December

31: Single hooked artificial lures only; S-19,

S-22; minimum length limit on landlocked

salmon, rainbow and brown trout: 16 inches.

 

Knox County

County-Wide Specials:

Oxford County

Mosquito Pond, Albany. S-5, S-17: closed to the

taking of live bait. From October 1 - October 31:

S-5, S-27.

 

Upper Dam Pool, T4R1. That area between

Mooselookmeguntic Lake dam and a line drawn

between the two cribwork piers approximately

800 yards west of said dam: S-1, S-5, S-22.

All brook trout must be released alive at once.

Minimum length limit on landlocked salmon: 16

inches. No motorboats allowed from the gates

of the dam, downstream or westerly 150 yards.

Open to fishing in October: S-5, S-27.

 

Penobscot County

Cold Stream, Enfield. From the highway bridge on

State Route 188 in Enfield to the red posts by the

old hatchery fishway, fishing restricted to persons

under 16 years of age and complimentary license

holders. Open to fishing from October 1 - October

15; S-6. Maximum length on landlocked salmon

and brown trout: 25 inches.

 

Kenduskeag Stream.

From its origin in Corinth downstream to the head

of tide (Harlow Street Bridge in Bangor): S-13.

• From Route 15 downstream to the Harlow Street

Bridge:

• April 1 - June 30: S-13, S-19. Minimum length

limit on trout: 8 inches. Maximum length on

landlocked salmon and brown trout: 25 inches.

• July 1 - September 15: Closed to all fishing

• September 16 - October 15: S-6, S-13, S-19.

Minimum length limit on trout: 8 inches.

Maximum length limit on landlocked salmon

and brown trout: 25 inches.

• From the Harlow Street Bridge downstream to

the Maine Central Railroad Bridge in Bangor:

closed to all fishing after July 15 (Marine

Resources Rule).

 

Snag (Stump) Pond, Lincoln. No size or bag limit

on largemouth bass throughout the open season.

Remains open to fishing through November.

From October 1 - November 30: all trout, landlocked

salmon, togue, and smallmouth bass must

be released alive at once.

 

Piscataquis County

Bennett Pond, Big, Guilford. Open to fishing from

April 1 - October 31. S-19.

 

Currier Pond, 1st, T9R11 WELS. From April

1-September 30: S-5, S-18. From October 1-31:

Doe Pond, Monson. Open to fishing from April 1 -

Prong Pond and tributaries, Beaver Cove

Plantation, Greenville. Open to fishing from April

1 – October 31: S-19.

 

Sawyer Pond and tributaries and outlet to barrier

dam, Greenville. Open to fishing from April

1 – October 31: S-19.

 

Shadow Pond and tributaries, Greenville. Open

to fishing from April 1 - October 31: S-4, S-19.

 

Shirley Pond, Shirley. Open to fishing from

April 1 – October 31: S-19.

 

Snow’s Pond, Dover-Foxcroft. Open to fishing

from April 1 – October 31: S-19. Motorboats

prohibited.

 

Unnamed Pond (Gravel Pit Pond), T3R5 BKP

EKR. Open to fishing from April 1–October 31:

S-19.

 

Unnamed Pond (Power Trout Pond), T3R5 BKP

Kennebec River, East Outlet.

• From Moosehead Lake downstream to the red

markers at Indian Pond: Open to fishingApril

1: S-5. From April 1 – April 30: All fish caught

must be released alive a once. From May

1 – September 30: S-5. Total daily bag limit for

landlocked salmon, trout, and togue: 1 fish.

Minimum length on landlocked salmon, trout,

and togue: 14 inches. From October 1–31:

S-5, S-27.

• From the dam at Moosehead Lake to yellow

posts at tail of Beach Pool: Open to fishing

from November 1 to March 31: S-5, S-27.

 

Long Pond, Taunton-Raynham. Open to fishing

from April 1 – October 31: S-19.

 

Parlin Pond and tributaries, upstream to Route

201 and outlet (Parlin Stream), down to the

confluence with Bean Brook: casting and trolling

with artificial flies only. Minimum length limit on

landlocked salmon: 12 inches. S-19. Extended

Season remains open to fishing through October.

From October 1-31; casting and trolling with artificial

flies only; all fish caught must be released

alive at once.

 

Rancourt Pond, Dennistown Plt. S-5, S-16. Extended

season remains open to fishing through

October. From Oct. 1 - Oct. 31: S-5, S-27.

 

Round Pond, Sapling. Open to fishing from

April 1 – October 31: S-19.

 

Saint John Pond, Fifth, T5 R17 WELS. October

1 - October 31: S-6. Open to the taking of

muskellunge only.

 

Saint John River and St. John River Northwest

and Southwest Branches. T9R16, T9R18,

T9R17, T10R16, T10R17 WELS. S-13. From

October 1-31: S-6, S-13. Open to the taking of

Waldo County

County-Wide Specials:

=From the confluence of Black Brook to tidewater:

River open until October 15.

 

Washington County

Grand Lake Stream, Grand Lake Stream Plantation,

etc. S-5 from April 1 - October 20, including

that portion of the stream adjacent to the hatchery

pools. Closed to all fishing within 150 feet of

Grand Lake Stream dam. From April 1 – August

15: S-19, S-22. From October 1- 20: S-27.

 

Grand Lake, West, T6 NDBPP, etc. S-25. Daily

bag limit on whitefish: 8 fish. From October 1 -

October 20: S-6, S-27.

 

Indian Lake, Whiting. S-13. From October 1-31:

S-6, all fish caught except for bass must be

released alive at once.

 

York County

County-Wide Specials:

Lakes and ponds are open to open water fishing

from April 1 – December 31; all trout, landlocked

salmon, and togue caught from October 1 –

December 31 must be released alive at once.

Davis Brook, Shapleigh. From the Mann road

downsteam to the confluence with the Little Ossipee

Berwick. From Route 9 downstream to the

confluence with Salmon Falls River: From

October 1 – March 31: S-6; all fish caught must

be released at once.

 

Little River, Berwick. April 1 – October 31: From

Messenger’s Bridge on the Long Swamp Road

downstream to the Hubbard Road: S-6, all trout

caught must be released alive at once.

 

Merriland River, Kennebunk. From the northbound

lane bridge of the Maine Turnpike to the

upstream side of the Route1 bridge: open to fishing

from April 1 - October 31: S-6, S-19.

 

Ogunquit River, Wells. From the northbound lane

bridge of the Maine Turnpike to the upstream

side of the Route 1 bridge: open to fishing from

April 1 - October 31: S-6, S-19.

 

Ossipee River, Little, Newfield and Shapleigh.

From the stone dam immediately above Route

11 in North Shapleigh downstream to Bridge
