The Kennebec River is like a lot of other good water, you can catch fish, 1st time out and alone, but it will take many trips to learn the good water. Just the Shawmut to Fairfield fishery of the Kennebec River is over three miles long; much of it wadeable. It takes a lot of time to cover it and find the feeding lies. It takes even longer to learn where the prime lies are. A good guide will put you over fish; call us to reserve a date.

The Waterville to Sidney fishery of the Kennebec River is over 8 miles long and offers some of the best fishing in the State. It is one of the few places where a person should be ready to catch Land-locked Salmon, Brown Trout, Striped Bass or Smallmouth Bass all in one outing. Since the removal of the Edwards Dam this section of river has come into it’s own. Let us show it to you.

The half day price is $150.00 for the boat (1 or 2 people), a full day is $300.00 deposit is 50%, cancellation with 11 or more days notice gives you a full refund, if cancellation is 10 days or less you forfeit the deposit amount. Drift Boat

Wading

    Jon Boat

Marshall DeMott captains the Drift Boat. If you haven’t fished from a drift boat you should. They are stable, safe, fun and a great way to access hard to reach wading. Because there are two guests and one guide per boat, the guide is at your side to offer advice and help you master special drift boat fishing techniques. The fishing is just the icing on the cake for you will enjoy many other things on the river. The rushing water, wildlife, and scenery all help make a memorable trip.

Wading is a good way to fish Shawmut. And, we have several good wading guides.  All of our guides can help you find the access points, and get you to the fish.  Wading is one of our strong points and we believe safe wading is an art.

Let us help you find the pathways that are hidden by the waters surface.
They are there and knowing where they are will allow you to approach fish without spooking them.

Scott Davis of Fish N' Fowl Captains the Jon Boat and is fully qualified to take you fishing or waterfowl hunting or both!

During the waterfowl season you can hunt over decoys as the sun rises in the east and cast to big fish as the sun sets
in the west.

It is truly a unique way to spend the day.  Scott is also our specialist when it comes to finding those nocturnal Brown Trout.

Call us at (207) 453-6242 to make arrangements.  Trips run from $300.00 for a full day trip (wade/float) on the river to $150.00 for a half day.
We can help you with your travel and lodging also.
